It was narrated from Sahl ibn Haneef which the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) reported: “Whoever asks Allaah sincerely for martyrdom, Allaah will bring about him to reach the position of your martyrs even if he dies in his mattress.” Narrated by al-Bukhaari, 1909.
